Swifty Farms is situated forty miles north of Louisville in beautiful southern Indiana. The gently rolling fields make our farm perfect for meeting the demands of raising an exemplary Thoroughbred. With modernized run in sheds available in each paddock and twelve miles of newly installed fencing, the property features three divisions, encompassed by 600 acres.
Our Yearling and Sales Preparation division offers a stunning 30 stall barn in the midst of 16 paddocks and fields, featuring a six horse automatic hot walker. Additionally, this farm is complete with a six horse quarantine barn, perfect for lay ups.
Swifty has also seen an incredible increase in demand for breeding services, in which we are proud to offer a revolutionary facility for complete care of your stallion, mare, or foal. Located on the main farm, our newly renovated foaling barn is equipped with 32 stalls, including six spacious 12’ x 24’ foaling stalls. This division also houses our 38 stall stallion facility complete with a 50’ x 50’ breeding shed. On an adjoining side of the shed, we feature a h/c wash rack, complete with stocks, and an on-site veterinary lab equipped with state of the art equipment, allowing us a fast and efficient diagnosis, as well as routine monitoring.
As the mare and foal mature, they are moved to the newly renovated 38 stall broodmare barn, which is situated on our broodmare division, where they are integrated into larger fields with foals of similar age. May we also add that three of our other barns were just renovated in the summer of 2010, being completely concreted and each stall being laid with brand new mats.
